nah, Prince charmless is just a fun simple little game about an ugly prince who tries to make himself pretty for the princess at the end of each level.

Thanks a lot! I'm proud of the design, and I'm glad you appreciate the shapes of the color palette. I try to spruce up my reference images so they really pop, and little details like these are fun to do :)

Haha, if you want the truth about the psychology and brainwashing part, I infused Abby with a number of references to a British rollercoaster I discovered, themed around brainwashing and called "The Smiler". The psychology student part is a nod to a 4-part video series called "Smile. Always" that was part of the ride's marketing campaign, which also features a hapless psychology student, or rather two hapless psychology students, who also wind up brainwashed. Not that Abby would've been safe if not for the references - from the events of the Discord server in which @corpsecake's Smile Emporium story takes place, everyone who hangs around Solomon Smiles is doomed to become like him.
